Everyone knows the three largest items of kitchen appliances that everyone needs: a refrigerator, a stove and a dishwasher. But over the years, small specialized devices have become widespread. Toasters, mixers, blenders, food processors, household kneaders, waffle makers, coffee makers and many other gadgets have become a part of our kitchens.
But where do we store these devices when they are not used? How can I keep them at hand without taking up valuable space on the countertop? We will tell about it today to visitors of our resource.
Garage for appliances
Use a small section of a high-end kitchen cabinet if you do not have storage space in the closet or a storage room for storing this equipment. Add the cabinet doors, which can be fully extended to the sides, and place the instruments on the drawer for easy access.
With one or two compartments in the side walls, the technician will be ready to use when necessary, and hidden when not needed.

You can also select a box for a certain small device. This is one of the most common methods of storing mixers – on a sliding or folding shelf, which allows you to keep the device always nearby and, if necessary, hide it. This design of furniture is very convenient and is often used in modern kitchen sets.

Do not forget to use every possible centimeter of space. It is quite easy to create a number of unique and innovative storage systems with various types of drawers and cabinets in furniture for storage of small kitchen units.

Small wall cupboard
The space of the wall cabinet is a good place to store all your home appliances. Equipping it with strong drawers will make access to the devices easier.

The most common small appliance in our kitchens is a coffee maker. And most often it is located where it occupies a valuable place – on the table top. Place it in a special cabinet, far from the main working area. Thus, someone who wants another cup of coffee in the morning, will not interfere with the preparation of the cook.

If a separate cabinet does not suit you, try placing the coffee maker in a special secluded corner built into the corner.

Shelves in the storeroom
Placing machinery in a dedicated pantry space will work, especially if it is well thought out and organized. A pair of pocket doors provides wide access and turns the pantry into what it should be: the continuation of the kitchen.

If the budget allows, you can arrange a built-in coffee machine. Furniture accessories in the form of a sliding shelf will make it convenient for the process of preparing morning coffee.

If your kitchen allows you to allocate space for such a work area, the use of a kettle, a mixer, a toaster or a coffee maker will become even more pleasant and will make room for more than one cook in the kitchen.

Bud Dietrich, AIA – architect and designer of buildings introduced us to the ideas of the location of kitchen gadgets in remote but convenient places.
I fully agree with the author of the article that household appliances should be cleaned "out of sight". When designing a new kitchen, I would use the option with a special built-in cupboard with drawers or with niches specially designed for kitchen appliances. Very practical!
Most convenient, of course, when all kitchen utensils, including small appliances, are concentrated in one place. As in the photo with a separate kitchenette. But much more beautiful look retractable lockers, built-in shelves, hiding equipment. Not only do not spoil the appearance of the kitchen, but also are part of the decor.
The article describes interesting options for hiding small household appliances. But if it is a lot, then it will not take a small separate box or space, which is problematic in small kitchens.
