Especially for the Mostra Casa & Cia exhibition in Porto Allegri, young Spanish designers Lizzian Scardolli and Joao Pedro Crescente prepared an adventurous and rather unexpected project in a completely unexpected manner.
In practice, designers try not to use dark shades in rooms of compact dimensions, and this variant, on the contrary, demonstrates the total predominance of a saturated gray background and metallic luster. Smooth surfaces have a high ability to reflect, so the kitchen does not seem too tight.
Visitors to the exhibition could decide that they were in a fashionable artistic cafe where meetings of avant-garde artists are taking place. Lighting, generally muffled, focuses on the working areas and the bar area, making the situation look even more bohemian.
Original and creative decorated and both the entrance to the kitchen from the other premises of this improvised apartment: one is located near the bar, and the second – in the center of the kitchen set, and looks like a kind of tunnel.
Cabinets of dark gray color are complemented by equipment with stainless steel surfaces, but the coldness of the industrial style is not felt here. Diluted with bright details, the interior looks alive, colorful and truly homely.
Young designers maximally effectively disposed of space and even found a place for a compact niche, which housed a sofa with a lot of bright pillows. The painting of the famous Brazilian artist Lu Borghetti brings to the interior a certain artistic chic.
The success of this extraordinary project lies in the close attention of its authors to individual details and nuances: an easy table of light wood does not seem to be a logical element of this space, but it is exactly in its place and works perfectly in contrast to the context. Many would consider neon advertising unnecessary, but just imagine how easy it is to create a festive mood with it!
Brazilian designers commented on the concept they created in a conversation with the press representatives present at the exhibition: "If you can not decide on a bold experiment, then you should not try and recreate this image in your home interior." And it's true: a few will agree to put in their apartment a laundry basket with decor in the form of graffiti.
On one of the open shelves a pyramid of cans with a tomato soup of Campbell's brand is built, which even more relates the interior to the style of pop art. Bluish illumination visually complicates and deepens space.
Effective shelving, filled with bottles of water and beer, perfectly combined with an industrial type of coffee machine and a refrigerator bar.
Expressive design of this stunning cuisine attracts attention even those who do not consider themselves a fan of modern style, and even with elements of pop art. Perhaps its accurate copying will not seem to many appropriate, but to take note of the individual components of this image will be useful to everyone.
