Children's room from Tamara Rosenbloom Design LLC
Who among us did not enjoy a cool summer sweet dream on a swing or in a hammock in the backyard? However, you can easily recreate this feeling in your own bedroom.
Fully Suspended Models
When the designer Tamara Rosenbloom (Tamara Rosenbloom) made out a bedroom for her daughter, she used in the decor an unexpected element – a bed in the form of a swing.
Despite the carefree image of this furniture set, it needs a secure fixation and fastening to the ceiling. Hanging beds can have a significant own weight, while they must withstand the weight of the person located on them, as well as provide ease of movement.
Therefore, when using this kind of interior, be sure to consult with specialists and engineers.
In the example in the previous photo, the author applied a blocking system in the ceilings between the beams to secure the structure.
To accommodate the mattress, the master used a strong and reliable wooden base with a textured dark surface. It was fixed to the ceiling with the help of massive metal chains. The space behind the headboard of the bed was decorated with a stunning fresco depicting a girl, flowers and plants.
Bedroom from A Coastal Home LLC
Architect Gina Taterus (Gina Taterus) from the studio A Coastal Home designed a bedroom with two beds and sea ropes. The lightweight construction base was made using teak wood. They gave her a rich external appearance, dark stain and a glossy polyurethane lacquer.
To the ceiling surface, this unusual furniture was attached using a textured massive rope. Complement the nautical themes unmatched bedding, small decorative pillows and red bedspreads.
Classic balcony from Richard Bubnowski Design LLC
Built with solid mahogany and carved inserts, this bed was inspired by ancient Indonesian creativity. Architect Richard Bubnowski (Richard Bubnovsky) rethought the vintage model, giving it a more modern appearance. The bed bed was attached to the ceiling beams thanks to galvanized strong chains.

Guest salon from Foley Fiore Architecture
Master David Foley (David Foley) in the guest cabin has formed a stunning and cozy corner for reading and relaxing.
A reliable steel frame specialist secured next to a small window. Magnificent textile finish beige hue, metal rods and beams, as well as quilted decor gives the exterior appearance of the chaise lounge an incredible charm and aesthetic appeal.
Design by Visbeen Architects
This maple bunk bed was designed for two boys. The architect Angela Mulder (Angela Mulder) from the studio Visbeen Architects designed the original furnishing, which is attached to the wall on one side. In addition, it is suspended from the ceiling surface using four reliable metal chains.
Boudoir by Annette English
If you can not make any structural changes on the ceiling to fix the sleeping box, use another interesting solution. A low profile bed platform with floor support creates a visual feeling of floating in the air, while decorative enclosing elements (for example, ropes or chains) connect the wooden frame to the ceiling.
We have presented the options for the design of a suspended bed, which can not only create wonderful conditions for sleeping, but also perfectly transform the bedroom space. And did you like these models of designer furniture? Share your opinion in the comments below .

Tips for designing a bedroom to create a serene oasis
Definitely, the hanging bed brings a zest to the design of the bedroom, however, for example, it would be uncomfortable for me to realize that I'm "floating" in the air. Completely hanging beds, for me, it's more and more a solution for a children's bedroom, but beds with floor support – a very interesting option for an adult.
Very original idea of decorating bedrooms with a hanging bed, but not in our Russian reality. To do this, we need very strong thick ceilings and special designs that our designers will certainly refuse to install in conventional apartments. And the idea is tempting!
